The Bethlehem Fair Society Inc. is proud to bring you one of Connecticut's greatest fairs TAKE A LOOK BACK THROUGH OUR 95+ YEARS OF HISTORY FROM OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO OUR AMBITIOUS FUTURE
est. 1920
The Fair started out as a Grange Fair on the Bethlehem town green in 1920, with Paul Johnson as the president.
After many successful years, the Fair Society purchased the farm on Main Street North that is now the fairgrounds. The last original structure in now utilized as the Art Barn.
THE EARLY DAYS
Although the Fair started small, it quickly became one of the larger fairs in the area, thanks mostly to the fair policies promoting all kinds of agricultural and household competitions, while maintaining a hometown friendly atmosphere where traditional fair activities are at the forefront, with vendors and attractions available to make for a fully enjoyable visit.
THE FAIR AS YOU KNOW IT
The fair now encompasses 65+ Acres, and has 36 permanent structures.
Each year the fair welcomes over 35,000 visitors, with over 150 vendors, and dozens of categories that you can exhibit your handicrafts or fair competitions.
We also host many events held by outside organizations throughout the year.
